The future leaders of our country will not be Christians. We operate in a culture
that tends to see Christianity as a cult – only 2.5% of the population identify as Evangelical Christians.
Ukrainians see the English language as the key to a successful future for their kids. And who can teach the language better than the native speakers? That’s why 50% of our campers are un-churched teenagers and 50% are believers ages 13-17.
Here we share Christ with youth who do not yet know God. We encourage believing teenagers to grow deeper in their faith through a week of worship, drama, preaching, teaching, recreation, church group fellowship and English Language Classes led by native speakers of English. The students want to learn English and they are excited to learn from Americans through games and conversation.
Teens are served though our ELCs. These camps have become the place where new Christians are born and new leaders get their call for ministry. As we look at our current summer staff, up to 90% of them have gone through our English Language Camps. Here they’ve been touched by God in a very special way and help recreate this experience for others.
